The Wood Family Charitable Trust
Supporting people, communities, and causes in Scotland, the UK, and beyond.
The Trust was established at the end of 2024 to support charities and good causes that make a meaningful difference to people, communities, and the environment.
The Trust exists to provide financial support to charities and community initiatives working in areas where help is most needed.
While our roots are in Scotland, our support extends across the UK and internationally where we believe funding can make a genuine difference.
Since its formation, the Trust has supported a wide range of organisations and initiatives across health, education, research, and the environment.
Including support for Race Against Dementia and other initiatives accelerating research and care.
Including support for The Beatson Cancer Charity and work supporting patients and families.
Helping protect wildlife and preserve habitats through conservation and environmental charities.
Including support for a school in Uganda, helping strengthen opportunities for children in the local community.
We support both well-established charities and smaller organisations where targeted funding can have a meaningful impact.
The Trust takes a thoughtful and hands-on approach to giving. We focus on causes that align with our values and on organisations that demonstrate impact, accountability, and sustainability.
Our aim is not simply to donate, but to support work that creates lasting positive change for individuals and communities.
As the Trust grows, we intend to continue expanding the range of causes we support while remaining true to our founding principles: compassion, responsibility, and long-term impact.
We are particularly interested in initiatives that support health, education, environmental protection, and community development, both in the UK and internationally.
The Wood Family Charitable Trust is overseen by its trustees, who are responsible for ensuring the Trust is well governed and that all grants and donations align with the Trust’s charitable purposes.
For administrative matters, the Trust is supported by professional advisers as appropriate.
