What we fund
We support charities and community initiatives that deliver real, measurable benefit. Our interests typically include:
- Health, wellbeing and quality of life
- Serious illness and long-term conditions
- Education and opportunity in underserved communities
- Wildlife, conservation and environmental protection
- Community support where funding can be catalytic
Where: Scotland and the wider UK, and internationally where we can support meaningful, responsible work.
Matching grants: If you’re fundraising as part of a group or team effort, we’re often glad to match what you raise, pound for pound.
What we don’t usually fund
To help set expectations, we don’t typically support:
- Individuals (personal appeals), unless via an established charity programme
- Political organisations or party-political activity
- Activities that conflict with our core values
- Requests without clear outcomes and governance
How to enquire
The quickest way to apply is online — it takes about ten minutes and goes straight to the trustees.
We’re a paperless charity and handle everything digitally. The only way to apply is through this website or by email to us. Please don’t send grant requests to our solicitors, Shepherd & Wedderburn LLP, or our accountants, Gerber Landa & Gee, and please don’t approach trustees directly; applications made this way can’t be considered.
